Lucy Catley is a senior lecturer and practitioner in Food Safety Culture and Operations at ÎåÒ»³Ô¹Ï×îйÙÍø, where she has been for the past seven years. Prior to this position, she spent five years in further and higher education at University Centre Reaseheath and the University of Chester, specializing in food science and technology. With over 25 years of experience in the UK food industry, she has worked as an industrial trainer focusing on food safety and hygiene, HACCP, Business Improvement Techniques, and Apprenticeship programs for industry professionals. Her diverse background spans various food sectors, including meat and poultry processing, ready meals, baby foods, dairy processing, breakfast cereals, fresh produce, and savory snacks. Her roles have included technical, quality, hygiene, sustainability, and environmental management.
Lucy recently earned an MRes in Food Safety and Security, and her research interests include food safety culture and, more recently, food sustainability culture. She is also passionate about food quality management, HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, food security, environmental management, food production management techniques, and innovations in food science.
